Deciding for E-rate (Self-Paced)

On Demand

Libraries are vital hubs in the communities they serve. For many people they are also the only access to the internet that they can rely on.  Therefore the demands on library internet connections are great. It is important that libraries understand what their needs are for connecting to the internet and to be able to talk to their stakeholders about how to achieve the goal of obtaining reliable and fast connections to the Internet. Public libraries can take advantage of a three billion dollar federal program that can help them pay for on average in Iowa 60% of the cost of a broadband internet connection. This class will help you understand your library's technology and Internet access and decide if E-rate is right for your library.
