Public Library Management 2-Fall 2019

This course provides an overview of community analysis, library services, marketing and the planning process. The course is intended for public library directors who need to meet the basic requirements for Public Library Director Certification levels I through IV. Methods include lecture and discussion using Zoom web conferencing software, as well as reading, written discussion questions and homework outside of class time. Access to the Internet, an e-mail account, and a set of headphones and microphone are required to complete this course.

Public library directors are given first priority; others are admitted as space permits. Your registration will require approval. Non-directors will be placed on a waiting list until the registration deadline has passed. The registration deadline is September 2. 

Class begins on Monday, September 16 which is a required day at the Johnston Public Library from 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM. Subsequent classes will be held online on Mondays, September 23 through November 18, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. 

Registering for the first class automatically registers you for the entire course.
