Summer Library Program Workshop (Orange City)

Begins 02/18/2020
Available capacity: 35

Join fellow librarians at this interactive session to discuss the IMAGINE YOUR STORY: 2020 Summer Library Program. This four hour session will give you plenty of ideas to get started planning your 2020 summer program.

Half the session will be lecture-style format, spotlighting ideas and best practices and the other half will be hands-on small group work where you are encouraged to share your successes and challenges.

To that end, please bring an example of one of your favorite summer successes. Bring the two books and a craft that were your biggest story time successes. Bring an activity that made your family night a huge hit. Bring your redesigned reading log or calendar that everyone raved about all summer. Basically: we want to see what you did and hear about what's worked (and what hasn't) for you. This will be your opportunity to network and learn from each other.

If this is your first time doing a summer program, have no fear - think of this sharing time as a chance to hear from other in practice librarians about what they have learned. So, bring all your questions!

Participants will leave ready to make 2020 their newest, freshest, and best summer ever.

Monday, March 2 has been reserved as an alternative date in event of inclement weather.
